6
days after my birthday, I and my BFF Janna decided to meet at Mall of Asia. seriously
it’s been a long time since the last time we saw each other. its because we're both busy on our own lives.
after a long much awaited years, directly went to Manila Shooting Range. where our first target shoot be held. yeah it was our first time to shoot. and sorry guys for just now blogging. been busy these
past few days and also still needed to wait and grabbed for the pictures took
from her DSLR cam.
finally we arrived on the shoot. MSR have
an indoor range that allows .45 / 9mm. she didn’t brought her ID... as in nothing
at all... only picture of herself hehehe.. since she got nothing at all, they didn't allowed us to shoot. we couldn’t just leave there just like that all the way either.. both came from far away different place. what we did was she called “Cha”, asked him whether he have an ID with her and called her
sis. i asked her too if she had an ID photocopy on her email so we can just print but too bad, she got nothing. wanted to call Gen Anastacio too (my mom’s friend) whether I can ask a favor from
him coz maybe they know him (haha ginamit ang general) but i didn't pursue. we were losing hope and disappointed coz
seemed we couldn’t play and shoot anymore. sad.. the best way I did was since I had an
ID with me, i tried to talk to the lady who was in charge over and over in a
calm friendly manner. the lady said I can shoot ALONE or we can shoot but we
needed to pay for the 50 rounds ammo for her. I guess we had no problem on that,
but the only problem was we purchased two voucher. Sayang yung oras at pagod
namin. not good to pay another one also kz we’ll pay it for a double. i'd rather or might as well
not to fire and play than to shoot alone without my BFF.
we needed a a lot of patience that time. i continue talked to the lady
in charge, still wala pa rin coz, "NO ID, NO TARGET SHOOT POLICY"! Ii you are a first timer, you’re already a member. you'll get an Annual Membership with Exclusive
Privileges at the Manila Target Shooting Range. the in charge lady couldn’t decide us. she allowed me to talk to the lady big boss. she was a nice lady despite the their policy! while waiting and talking to
the lady boss, my BFF was busy taking pictures as the place was variety of shooting jackets, etc.
lucky, i settled and compromised the lady big boss. we had a deal too. thank to
the lady boss and thank GOD, He was still good to us. Yeyy, we can shoot BUT
they wont release our membership card unless they have her photocopy ID. Not bad
for us as long as we can shoot together, we were happy (; her photo ID can wait and I would
give them the next time we’ll visit.
MSR fill up form documents..
me filling up
done filled the MSR form. the next step is.. the lady in charged took
us photo for them to keep on their files. chooses our rear gadgets. both were in blue and white eye protection and yellow ear gear protection.
our instructor was Kuya Gilbert. He instructed us briefly first on what to do and not to do before we pull the
trigger.
while he was briefing us suddenly kinabahan, natakot,
nanghina, nanlamig kami at parang ayaw na naming ituloy pero we’re already
there. this is it! we had no choice… but to continue and just enjoy the
fun otherwise it would spoil our day and end up nothing.
our officer instructor discussed to us the:
Four rules of Gun Safety:
1. consider every gun as loaded / treat every weapon as if it were loaded
2. never let the muzzle of a gun point / never point weapon at anything
you do not intend to shoot
3. keep your firearm finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire /
keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you are ready to fire
4. be sure of your target and what is around it
Firing Range Safety Procedures:
1. make sure that your firearm is unloaded when you enter a firing range.
check or load in a safe area
2. handle your firearms only in the firing line or safety area with the
approval of the range officer. obey your target officer
3. load firearm only upon advice of the range official
4. never hold your firearm if there are people in front of you or with
people downrange.
*to make
it short, don’t count how many bullets you had release, just concentrate to
fire and fire at the center which is the no. 5 ( pls see where he was pointing
at)
Parts of .45/ 9mm:
1 firing pin block
2 loaded chamber
3 trigger
4 front sight
5 slide assembly
6 disaasemby lever
7 slide stop
8 rear sight
9 safety
10 hammer
11 receiver
12 grip
13 lanyard loop
14 magazine seater
Another Safety Precautions that should be observed
by all persons armed with a pistol:
1 ensure the weapon is unloaded every time the
pistol is picked up for any purpose.
2 never trust your memory. consider every pistol is
loaded until you have proven otherwise.
3 always unloaded the pistol if it is to be left
where someone else may handle it.
4 On the range, never place your finger inside the
trigger until told to do so.
5 On the range, do not insert a magazine until told
to do s.
6 On the range, do not load a cartridge into the
chamber until immediate use is anticipated. If there is a delay, lock the
pistol and only un luck it while extending the arm to fire.
7 On the range if there is any malfunction of any
kind with the pistol, “do not clear it yourself”. Arise your non-shooting hand
while keeping the pistol elevate and pointed down-range. An instructor will
assist you.
<<<---- MSR Gun plus 50 rounds of ammo and two magazine seater
it was time to do some target shooting to see how well I can shoot with
the pistol with a vertical grip. I was the first to shoot then her. I like the
handling of a .45 / 9mm pistol. Kuya Gilbert assisted me first and counted 1,2,3
before I pulled out the trigger....then...
fire
and fire..
He assisted my pakner too (: it was our first set to fire.
1,2 ,3 fire and fire...
done our first set - 18 rounds of ammo... 32 rounds of ammo more to go... we enjoyed ourselves n teh middle of the shoot until the end. we didn’t want to stop anymore. (: MSR release your tension, stress with a legal shooting spree. whatever
mood you have or release your anger, if you feel this kind of fun or you wanna try some thing new, i can tell this is the best and more fun. this is fine for this indoor range. i was stress and maybe angry too that time hehe and just found out that my pakner was had the same feelings too. omg! the only reason we haven;'t killed someone is because it's illegal hahaha.. extending your arm while in
shoot was very tiring.
the second and third set was our turn to unload...
and load the gun...
then fire...
fire
fire
and firrreeeee...

as indicated, we are not the best target shooter but not bad
for us a beginner. we are not a hunter. we simply enjoy the sport of target
shooting. smile many can do better. our target gives us a real world example of
what the pistol can do in OUR hands. our first time was cool, safe, fun and educational.

supreme single worth P822 for two person.
the food was so filling. of course the day was not yet over for the two of us. needed a coffee break at starbucks
by walk close out there and tried the new chocolate cookie crumble. it was something to smooth our throat.yummy!
