funtastic four shows at Manila Ocean Park

thanks to MD; my friend Janeth and i were able to visit and enjoy at Ocean Park.

Four Shows in One: Manila Ocean Park’s FUNtastic Four Combo Pass for P399 or 42% off from it original ticket price instead of P690 – Experience Fun & Excitement. funtastic four shows in one combo package promo this summer. Experience the combination beauty nature and human made adventure like Musical Fountain, Marine Life Show, Penguin Talk Show, and All Star Bird Show.
be stress free this summer by visiting Ocean Park Manila and enjoy the angelic and “funtastic four shows” tour only at Ocean Park Manila.

i've been there a couple of times but it was my first time to watch the “Funtastic Four Shows” there. You will need to pay to watch the shows but you can roam around the place and view exhibits for free. However, there are other exhibits that you would need to buy tickets such as the the Oceanarium and the Jelly Fish Exhibit. you don’t need to make a reservation. all you have to do is to go to a counter for MD redemptions and once you give your voucher and a valid id, you will get a ticket that contains the four shows. very organized! we carefully plotted the schedules so that we can catch all the shows. Manila Ocean Park is also the famous landmark in Manila.

Marine Life Show
a sea lion show! the scientific name of sea lion is “Otaria Flavescens” formerly Otaria Byronia.  this show was better since the tricks they did were on par with the other shows i have watched. too bad it was too hot in the stadium that i almost asleep but so far it went well.

meet Vincent

 meet Yeni

Penguin Talk Show
a show definitely for the kids. a penguin will be projected on the screen and he will interact with the audience. Penguin is like simsimi you can ask anything about him and he would answer rightfully. i  got bored from this show.

All-Star Bird Show
a normal pretty colorful bird show! it was my couple of times that i have seen some great birds shows here and from other countries too, so i wasn’t kinda too thrilled with this one
i also took some videos..

meet Bandit (left) and Sassy girl (right)

Musical Fountain Show
this would be the highlight of the night as this would be the last show everything is going to be watching before going home. this was not my first fountain show. i’ve watched the  biggest musical fountain show at Rizal Park last year and watched some other countries fountain show such as comparable to Sentosa's song of the Sea in Singapore and Macau fountain show years ago a couple of times. i enjoyed it esp from other countries! the effects that they did with water, lights and fireworks were great! there was even fire that adds to the drama and some cartoon characters like Nemo, Octopus etc. it was a great ending to our wonderful day. the Manila Ocean Park is one of the many attractions where adult, kids by heart and kids by feeling will surely enjoy.

 the cast of the show:

here’s a short video water, lights, fireworks and fire show. sorry about the quality and the audio, the music playing was “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz

30. i need an involuntary stretch after waking up.. i was just curious!

two weeks: thoughts on marriage at the age of 30..

marriage has nothing to do with age, it is one's maturity and being stable in every aspect ng needs ng tao and pang araw-araw as being couple. if you think you won't be that selfish enough to share your life with someone for 24/7 then you are good to go (:

based on nursing study, at the age of 30 something it is very risky to be pregnant and to deliver a baby.. but are you ready to have one? it's not only 9 months it's till your last breath kind of sacrifice (:

nothing wrong with that... people even get married at 30 something.. it depends on when you meet that one you wanna settle down with.. well, i don't know my friend got married in December and she's 32. some people set goals in life. like me am like once i reached 30 and am not married yet maybe i would begin to wonder if the right one exist. but i mean who knows. maybe you will meet the person couple of years later. 30 isn't old. "you'll be fine. it's just a number".  it shouldn't stop you from going after what you want. you cant give up on something coz you are at certain age.

the beauty of nature

No words can describe how beautiful it can be...
peeping sun
beautiful view of the bright Full orange MOON from my room.

somehow.. at times... I miss being at this peaceful relaxing breathtaking place..

light bub from the sky

the most beautiful beach aside from the beaches of Boracay. the water was crystalline blue so those pictures you see on the internet of the Boracay beaches/ocean are that gorgeous. I LOVED the beach - it had fine, white, powder sand and the water was so refreshing.

summer 2012: holy week galera escapade

on April 5-8 holy week 2012, me and my friend rachel went out to Puerto Galera. summer destination for every year during Lenten season.

on April 5, Maundy Thursday, ten in the morning is the time me and my friend rachel decided to meet at the bus terminal of Jam Kamuning. it's been a year that we never see each other, we are excited to reach our destination and also we miss hanging out together like we used to do before. lucky when i arrived where we meet we stepped into the bus and off both to Batangas port. first we didn't slept during the trip coz we had a chit chat about our love life, work, etc.. we used a free wi-fi on board and you can see the password below:

after almost 3 hours we've arrived in our destination. i've been there last year and it was my fourth time and my third time to go with her and still there are lots of people there esp there are lots of gays there, oh well i wouldn't be surprised, yes that's what it's called "Puerto Gay-lera". as usual the management in Batangas port is unorganized. since that unorganized i caught the attention of a group of girls refunded their ticket from "Minolo Shipping Line". one girl is shouting and screaming (wearing blue scarf) coz they were there at 6am and yet at 2pm they still waiting there boat to go to the White Beach.

we are dragged almost two hours in this very long queue just to get our ticket. at 2:30pm was our time ticket but waited almost two hours into the waiting area before we board the boat. we were unlucky to have caught the "Father & Son Shipping line" boat instead of the “MSL”, which apparently notorious for sinking.

at 6pm finally we arrived, we finally arrived at White Beach. as usual it was a holiday there are already a lot of people eating grilled foods, swimming in the clear blue waters of the beach, , playing all games, sun bathing, covering each other with sands, building sand castle, tattooing on their body at the tattoo shop, massaging etc.. since we have friends there we visited him on his bar "Outriggger" rest for a while then checked and stayed into Trick house at Brgy. San Isidro Minolo 1km away from White Beach. Outrigger bar it is at the center of the night activities located in the middle of White Beach.

after we rested for an hour we took our dinner in one of our favorite fast food chain in Galera, "Food Trip sa Galera". they offer a variety of dishes. Chicken grilled barbeque stick, Pork grilled stick, itlog na pula with kamatis and talong, tasilog, tocilog a lot more. and what i love about their meals is that they offer unlimited rice. the prices are affordable too and they are open 24 hours. the waiter and waitress are so accommodating and attentive and they value good customer service.

after a fulfilling meal, we walked along the beach and checked out the establishment and booths where we can hang out later. at night the party never stops in Puerto Galera esp with the presence of outstanding bars like Mikkos bar, Outrigger and Tipzynakuuh's bar. we headed at Mikkos Bar, it is the perfect places to mingle, to chill, to share drinks, to meet new friends..
we had a lot of fun. the beach is too crowded, the night is so wild, the music is awesome. so many people dancing, shouting, cheering and having a good time. too bad rachel lost her money worth four thousand pesos.
the mechanics: we went through with the Tanduay bar game. the waitresses put the Tanduay plastic cap in your head with 8 red holes as you can see rachel's head, they will turn around the hole inside your head and you may choose or pick one hole. but one hole have a water inside. so if you are lucky to pick one hole of course you will get a freebies such as a Tanduay towel. too bad i haven't tried the game haha..
this is not freebies but they offered us a free vodka drink

Puerto Galera is famous for the alcoholic beverage known as "Mindoro Sling". its ingredients are rhum, grenadine syrup, Sunquick lime, mango juice, sprite, Sunquick orange, ice and slices of apple. every time we went there we always ordered Mindoro Sling. it is advisable to just buy a pitcher of Mindoro Sling than by glass.

there is also the stage of San Miguel Beer and Tanduay where mini concert are held. the Frenxy and EZ lubricant booth where they offer special prizes just by purchasing.

me and rachel laying on the beach

its like we are in total paradise where relaxation is the theme and everywhere there is.... FOOOOD!!!

cordon blue
april 6, Good Friday
we were supposed to go to Aninuan Falls but because of the belief and tradition for the Catholic church, Good Friday it is the week for ceremonies and rituals that recall the last days in the life of the Savior. Good Friday as they call it mostly some bad things will be happen. so we respect this day and just stayed and rest at home.

april 7, Black Saturday
before we reached the Aninuan falls, we passed 7 creek and it took 45minus to get there. when you get there there was a small store where you can buy a drinks and food.
our service.. behind is the place where we stayed for 4D3N
and its free accomodation

Aninuan Waterfalls

april 8, 2012 Easter Sunday
the trip to Puerto Galera was very pleasant. we've met new friends too. the trip went all at first but when we are already half-way our trip the waves started pounding our boat. massive waves started to hit and water started to pour into the boat and all the people got panic and wear a life vest. rachel laughed at me coz i wear the life vest just like that *snap*. maybe coz i had an accident last year i was afraid of the massive waves. i can still picture the look of the people esp myself face when i wore the life vest in one second hahaha!!

like in most beaches, drinking water is sort of a luxury in Puerto Galera. stores usually sell 500mL mineral water bottles for 20 bucks each. however, i’ve seen a store there where you could refill your 1L bottles for only 10 bucks.

another fun thing to do in Puerto Galera aside from banana boat ride, kayaking, boating and snorkelling is to have a picture of yourself jumping. it’s really fun i tell you. didn't have much picture maybe because we've been there so many times.

sunset

to get to White Beach you can take a bus from a company such as JAM, BTLB or TRITRAN. you can leave as early as 6:00 am if you like or there are other departures through the day. from Batangas City Pier, take a ferry to Puerto Galera. there are a number of different arrival points so it’s a good idea to know where you are heading before you book. when you're there, walk along the white beach, and you'll see the other inns and resorts, one after another.
